Vivekananda Memorial Centre at Kundhukal – Rameswaram
Vivekananda Memorial House, Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu
Swami Vivikenadana, an Indian Hindu monk and chief disciple of the 19th-century saint Ramakrishna, was welcomed by Raja Sethupathi of Ramanthapuram on 26th Jan 1987 at Kundukal on the way back to India after his religious addressing on the Parliament of Religions at Chicago. In commemoration of address, a memorial was built at the place. People are allowed to visit the memorial with an entrance fee. The Vivekananda Memorial Centre is located 15 KMS from the Rameshwaram bus stop.
